Brand identity and brand communication for CRU, a luxury leather start-up brand firmly rooted in heritage and traditional craftsmanship.
The design challenge
The challenge was to create branding for the handbag company CRU, a start-up who focused on creating luxury leather handbags from their workshop in Portugal. They needed a strong identity that aligned with the market and would look contemporary amongst competitors. Finally the branding needed to reflect the unique personality and quality of workmanship that goes into each of their products.










The design solution
The end result was to develop a brand identity which aimed to illustrate the hand crafted nature of each CRU Product. The logo needed to work effectively punched into leather and within a digital space. Supporting imagery and brand communication shows the beautiful Portuguese workshop, in which all products are uniquely created. The deliverables also included brand naming, digital design, brand guidelines and swing tags.
