Hi I’m Lara, I provide expert & bespoke design services across the UK. Based in Kent, I come with over 10 years of agency, in-house and freelance experience. Primarily working for mid to high-end alcohol clients and FMCG brands across Kent and London.
I provide a variety of design skills including logo and branding design, packaging design, Print design and digital design. Meaning I can take your project from initial brand creation to final print ready files.
I’ve been working in the design industry since 2012 after graduating from Reading University with a BA in Graphic Communication and Typography. Since then I’ve worked at a number of different design agencies around London and Kent. I was working as the lead designer at a pioneering, disruptive global drinks company for a few years before deciding to go Freelance.
Being a freelancer designer I work directly with the client. Offering a personal service where I get to know you and your brand without key information being lost along the way. This is different to how some larger agencies may work, where the design project can get shared across the team. This can often cause the brand message to get diluted along the way. I believe working together one on one, results in a much stronger and more collaborative end-result between the client and the designer.
I specialise in food and drink branding and packaging design, because this is what inspires me the most. It’s much more than a job but a passion.
I am WSET-accredited (Level 2) in spirits, helping me to understand the complex and fascinating world of alcoholic drinks. I strongly believe in having knowledge of the liquid inside the bottle and the creation process, is key to making your brand stand out in a competitive market. There’s something special when not only does the packaging label looks stunning in hand, but also hints at the flavour profile. Successful branding and packaging design can convey a fascinating story.
